Spring Flowers 2021

Our spring flowers did not disappoint this year!

We did have a few perennials that came back as seeds and not plants,                                                         I think the winter was a bit harsh for them and it was so sad to see so many                                       just not come up. But as a whole the flower beds were very beautiful! My favorite                                            tulips bloomed first, pink of course, and the flowers just keep coming.

Tulips then the Iris'. Some iris are still in bloom, but many are on their way out.
I do love these sweet flowers, they take up a lot of the flower bed, but
none the less they are so beautiful and delicate when they are in bloom.
I just can't help myself when they are in bloom! I wish they would last longer
when they are cut, but they do not, so we enjoy them in the flower beds.

Isn't she so amazing!

I love the peach one as well.
We have so many purples that they don't get as much
attention when they bloom, but without the purple iris'
there wouldn't be the beauty in the flower beds!
They are loved too.

Now the peonies are blooming, they are a personal favorite.                                                             I want to learn to watercolor them, and maybe one day I will show you                                                             a watercolor of one of these beauties. But for now, we will enjoy pictures                                  of these sweet and wonderful flowers.

Now the overall look of the back yard perennial flower bed.

This is where my favorite time of the day is spent, right here in the flower beds.
Weeding, and weeding and weeding! I'm not sure why weeding is such a fun part of the day,
but I love my hands in the dirt.
I hope that you have enjoyed our wonderful spring garden!

Happy Spring!
And yes it is June, but this is when our spring
emerges!
