Dinner for Two

Easter Sunday was quiet for us.
Church was canceled due to Covid-19.

We spent our time studying the scriptures and then in
the afternoon we had an amazing salmon and shrimp dinner.

I decided it was time to look a little more like spring.
The snow has melted and the grass is turning green, something
I am ready for.  Spring!
Even though as I write this there is spring snow
falling outside my windows!

I used a round white tablecloth with an embroidered tablecloth on top
with spring flowers embroidered around the sides.
It just felt so light and airy.
Just like I wanted to feel on this occasion.

The bottom silver platter, my charger, is from thrift stores.
I have been buying these for years to get the amount of platters
in my silver stash.  The gold embossed china plate on top
is by Mary Carroll.  Love her work!
The top silver plate I gave to my mother to match her
china, and I have since inherited back after she died.
It is Legendary by Noritake, Greenwood Platinum.
Beautiful China indeed.

I also used silver salt and pepper shakers and silver butter dish.
Very exquisite pieces indeed. These were also my mother's
that I was able to choose from her belongings.
My dad would bring her presents, we always loved watching
her open her Christmas presents.  He loved to shower
her with these beautiful priceless presents.

We had a wonderful dinner for two.
Salmon, shrimp, asparagus, fresh baked artisan bread, and potatoes.

The dinner was served in covered silver serving trays.

We were so glad for sun, green grass, warmth in
the sun room and a beautiful Easter Sunday.
A Sunday to celebrate the resurrection of our Lord
and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ciao!

Robin
