Thanksgiving Table Scape 2020

 Hello Everyone!

Thanksgiving is one of my favorite times to spend with family.

Here we have a wonderful tablescape with old, new, and refurbished.

On past years posts you will have seen this turkey in bright oranges, yellows, and greens. I was inspired by some photos from Linley Designs and decided it was time to change this turkey to some colors that were much more sophisticated. Here is my result. I quite love the change.
Bronze, copper, and gold. Tom is now updated and so cute.

I also loved the pumpkins on Linley Designs, pulled out all of my floral paraphernalia and went to work. There were a few days where my kitchen became a floral shop. Ribbons, glue gun, wire, fall flowers, acorns from the garden, and just time. I found I didn't have any orange ribbon in my stash and ran to JoAnns for ribbon. I spent about $30 on oranges and fall plaids then went to work.

Everything was refreshed and given new ribbons and embellishments.

And before we knew it the pumpkins of old were transformed. Tom became so elegant. I had glue gun burns on my fingers. And the house was transformed. I realized how much ribbons can make the most incredible change with everything. Watch out Christmas boxes!

I used a blanket we bought in Ireland to cover the table. Plates are wooden round plate I purchased this year at TJMaxx, the rust salad plates and grey bowls were purchased from Pier One Imports. Glasses are vintage. Small wooden bowls from Amazon. Goldware is vintage.

I also used some cut wood rounds that my husband and his brother cut for me about 4 years ago. I fell in love with these and use them for so many projects. Three of these are in the middle of the table and then covered with the refreshed pumpkins, and Tom on a silver plate.

An aerial view of the table. I want to sit and eat turkey and visit with my family! It is so comfy and warm.

Here is a view of the dinning area into our kitchen. This is my dream kitchen. I remember when I was about a freshman in high school my mom and some friends and I went to see the "new" kitchens. Oh my, what a difference from what mom had at the time. The new big thing then was a microwave. We moved to the northwest suburbs of Chicago and that was when mom got her new microwave. It really was magical back then.

Today we live a simple life. I don't have the newest of anything in my kitchen. But I have what I want and that makes me so happy. Double oven, microwave, island, dishwasher, big sink, wood floors, and a pantry.

Who could ask for more. Farmhouse can be so fun, and here it doesn't have to be white everything.
Though I love white, my husband does not, so we have both.

An with that compromise we are both happy.

Close up

Enjoy this fun tablescape. Know that so many things fit into the farmhouse look. Especially French farmhouse, or American farmhouse.

It is what you like the best!

Happy Thanksgiving!
